In recent months, Kawasaki has been building anticipation for its forthcoming electric motorcycles, the Ninja e-1 and Z e-1, through multiple teasers. The time has finally come for the Japanese brand to officially introduce these electric bikes, with the United Kingdom being their inaugural market.

The design cues of these electric Kawasaki siblings were disclosed some time ago. The Ninja e-1 takes inspiration from its gasoline-powered counterpart, as does the Z e-1.

The former boasts a distinctive split LED headlight with a transparent visor and high-mounted clip-on handles, giving it the appearance of a sports-tourer rather than an outright supersports motorcycle.

In contrast, the Z e-1 shares the same base but features a more exposed look due to its naked styling. It comes equipped with a single-piece headlight and a wide handlebar, creating an upright rider triangle.

Kawasaki intends to equip both electric vehicles with a 5kW motor connected to a pair of removable batteries. Although the precise details regarding range and battery specifications are still under wraps, Kawasaki has revealed that both the Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 will have a top speed of 99kmph.

Additionally, two riding modes, namely Road and Eco, will be available. For added convenience, the bikes will include an e-boost feature, temporarily providing the bike with extra power.

Other noteworthy features encompass full LED lighting, walk and reverse modes, and a fully digital TFT display with smartphone connectivity.

The debut of the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 is scheduled for the upcoming month in the United Kingdom. Following their launch, all the remaining details, including range, a comprehensive list of features, pricing, and more, will be disclosed.

It's worth noting that, as of now, Kawasaki has not expressed any intention to enter the Indian electric two-wheeler market.
