After introducing the SR GT line in 2021, Aprilia has launched the MotoGP-inspired replica versions for both the 125cc and 200cc models in 2023.
These Italian maxi-scooters have received fresh liveries inspired by Aprilia's MotoGP race bikes. The new designs feature a sleek black body with striking red stripes and prominent 'Aprilia' branding running along the side profile.
Aside from these visuals, the scooters maintain their aggressive bodywork and imposing stance, giving them a youthful and dynamic appearance. Notable design elements include a three-piece LED headlight with a smoked visor, a split-seat configuration, and a two-piece grab rail.
Under the hood, the SR GT is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine producing 14.2bhp and 12Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the SR GT 200 boasts a 174cc engine delivering a robust 17.4bhp and 16.5Nm of torque. Both scooters come equipped with liquid cooling and feature a CVT gearbox for smooth power delivery.
In terms of features, the SR twins offer comprehensive LED lighting throughout and a fully digital instrument cluster.
The digital console provides essential information such as the speedometer, tripmeter, odometer, tachometer, fuel level, and more. The scooters share a double cradle chassis for sturdy construction and ride stability, supported by 33mm telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks with preload adjustability.
Braking duties are handled by a 260mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, with the added safety of a combined braking system.
Currently, Aprilia India's lineup includes the SR and SXR series, with the eagerly anticipated RS 457 set to join their offerings soon.
